THE COMPOUND
What Tesamorelin is, and what it is studied for.
44 aa · N-terminal trans-3-hexenoylTesamorelin reproduces the full sequence of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (1-44) with a hexenoyl modification that extends its activity. It stimulates the pituitary to release endogenous GH in a physiological, feedback-regulated pattern rather than a fixed dose.
It is the most clinically characterised GHRH analog, with published data on visceral adipose tissue, lipid profiles and, more recently, cognition in older adults.
