BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid fragment of a gastric protein, examined in laboratory models of tendon, ligament and gut-lining repair. TB-500 is a short synthetic fragment of thymosin β4, the protein that regulates actin, cell migration and blood-vessel growth.

Studied together, the two are used in preclinical and in-vitro work on angiogenesis, cell migration, extracellular-matrix remodelling and inflammatory signalling.
